I mean.. It's just a any other normal day. Those who are singles are frustrated. I mean.. we celebrate LOVE every day in our life!
So, for those who are sinlges and can't get a date.. , I wish you all HAPPY! Don't be upset.. It's just a valentine.

I do personally think Birthday and anniversary are more meaningful.

I've in a relationship for 6 years and yeah.. everyday is Valentines day for us.

I never did anything on that day before i got married...In my family we did not celebrate that day. We didn't need a day to say I love you, its a hallmark holiday, so they can make money...I really wish my husband and I would just skip that day...

Its not overrated unless you make it that way. Its just a day to celebrate love, it doesnt mean you cant celebrate love anyother day or everyday for that matter, and it doesnt need to only be celebrated with COUPLES. It includes families and friends. I hate it when people are all upset over Vday. Good god, stop your bitching and go out and have fun. Vday is a day to relax and just feel loved. So maybe if someone is sitting at home pouting ..their attitude is why they're at home in the first place.

Yes, I do think that Valentine's Day is extremely overrated and over advertised. I
have always thought it was just a holiday for card, candy, and flower retailers
to have additional cash. I have seen women cry and be depressed over not having
someone to share that day with and for not getting a gift.
If you love someone deeply, you don't need a holiday to show it. Everyday can be
Valentines Day.

Valentines day is for gullible people that don't know what the meaning of love is. Its nonsense having a day set aside to show someone how much you love them. If these people were really in love they wouldnt need a single day to remind them about loving someone. It should be an everyday thing.

yes

Let me see

My parents did not grow up with Valentine or Hallowween.

They were a tad uncomfortable when we did the expected thing in the 50 and 60's

But they let us

Now media hypes these things BIG TIME

Now 10 year olds agonize about no boyfriend for V-Day.

Kids expect halloween to be naughty.

Go figger.

Thanks.. happy day to you and yours as well.

The only ones who win are the candy companies and the card companies who have made millions out of

Hallmark Holidays

However, the next day, valentine chocolate is half price.

Isn't every holiday overrated?! I mean they come and go so quickly so have fun with it but don't go overboard.

I think Valentines Day is been mistaken for just couples... show your love and appreciation with everyone! Start with your partner, your parents, your siblings, and your friends, etc.

I think it is especially important to be a good influence on your children when it comes to holidays! My husband of eight years is so unromantic and this holiday is a reminder of that. He was influenced by his parents so make sure you don't do the same. Let kids be kids!

Yes, my opinion is it is just another way of business to take advantage and make more money. I mean for example a dozen roses you can usually by for twenty-five dollars, Now there over seventy-five. I stopped by my local grocery store they were selling chocolate dipped strawberry's six for ten dollars. Its ridiculous

indeed its over rated
but as to not get tangled up in peoples madness
i just enjoy the day
and enjoy the silly things people do during that day

eventually there's nothing wrong with giving roses and chocolates to the girl you like

valentines day is for the immature
and the mature so that they can continue to be mature should just enjoy the day

It depends on what your personality is i guess you know what I'm saying? i mean for some people valentines is just another day but for others valentines day is a way to tell your husband or wife or boyfriend or girlfriend you really love them.

For the last few years we have done bugger all for valentines day - so yes, definatly feel it's overrated.

I feel sorry for the guys though, they are the ones expected to buy flowers and jewellery.
