just my battery icon is missing from the menu and when i go into system pref, energy saver, there is no option to "show battery status in menu." in fact, my whole energy saver window seems to miss alot of options like the drop down menus for "optimization" and "settings for"

help!! =)

i am not sure i have the disc. something is seriously odd though. take a look at this photo of the energy saver (it is missing things):

Insert your Software Disc(The one it comes with).
On that disc you will be able to run a System Test-This will determine if any files or Apps. are missing!

The "show battery indicator in menu bar" option is located under the Energy Saver Options (center of box, 1/3 of the way up, next to Sleep). Its the last of the checkmark boxes.
