that's crazy. he's a boxer. how does pacquiao qualify for congress? does he even know the ways of the congress? if that happens, and he wins, our country is never getting anywhere. they're turning politics into a popularity contest.

so yeah. pretty much crazy.

I am not a friend of Manny but we come from the same big island of mindanao but I think in fairness to him, it is his prerogative to be influential to people in his local or vice versa he be influenced in by some local people in that area. That is his right, whatever decision he makes as long as it comes from the very essence of his person and it should be respected. If he wants to box he can box, if he likes to sing whether in tune or whatever, he can, therefore why not perform in the entertainment rink of Philippine politics. The brighter side of his person, he made clean money and plenty of those. He can do whatever he wants with those and he should be well looked up upon by some or other people intending to run in congress on board a vehicle of injustice named Kurakot Liner or corruption money. President Magsaysay was too a cochero but run thru the dictates of his heart, mind and conscience.

Simply that he thinks the congress is a boxing arena. What a moron! What does he know about politics? Did he even tried to read a portion of our constitution? Does he even know the exact meaning of "politics"? Yes, I understand that he wants to be a "bridge" between the people and the government, as he was claiming and that he has a heart for the people. Man, you can still show your support for the government and a big help to the people not just by running as a congressman. And oh, it would be a very big help to all of the Filipinos if you will just withdraw your candidacy. And what is that news that your mother is supporting your candidacy? Oh well, what a bigger moron and stupid she is!

Did you know that the Pacman will be up against a woman in the congressional elections in his district? If he wins, he says he will retire from boxing...he has file his candidacy and elections in Philippines this year will be on May 14 and campaign will start soon, so if he wins, his fight with Solis will be his last fight...if he looses, boxing fans all over the world will be seeing him fight Barrera, Marquez and all those who dared him in the future. Let's wait and see...

the pacman is very loved and respected not just by filipinos but all around the world, whether you like boxing or not. but whats with all these filipino stars and celebrities trying to get into politics?? i think he could make an okay congressman because the position is all about representing the people, but im concerned... does he know anything about politics? we all know he can kick butt in the ring and if he wins it will be interesting to see him kick butt in government. i wish him all the luck in the world but maybe he should just stick to boxing. love ya manny!!!!! =)

He's a great boxer, but wow. He ought to keep his priorities straight. What does he know about politics? He tried to sing, too! He's not that great a singer, I don't think. I DO think that he's trying too hard to take on absolutely everything. It's odd because he's already a national hero--why does he need to do more?
