Cannot help with the snow problem but South Jersey is a great place. It right outside Philadelphia which has a large Zoo. It 2 hours North of Baltimore and 3 North of DC. Its 2 hours south of NYC and the beach is only 45-90 minutes away. Also, these is a nanny agency around here. However, property taxes suck so maybe Northern Delaware would be better.

I live in Santa Barbara and it would be a great place for you. There's the beach and plenty of things to do in the city. Plus there are a ton of rich people here that would pay you a lot. It never snows and I think the coldest it ever gets is maybe mid 40's.

Southwestern Idaho may be a good choice. There is never much snow, and you get to live in a city and country environment. Housing costs are cheaper here than in most other states. There are parks and animals everywhere. There are petting zoos all around, and a normal zoo in Boise. People in communities are closer together than in big cities, and it is a great place to grow up. Most people I talk to have a lot of fond memories of growing up in Southwestern Idaho.

CA would be good. Warm weather, and lots of places you take your kids to learn stuff. Like zoos , museums, and parks.
