Are roses too predictable, or always a good idea? Would you prefer any other type of flower?

Excuse me, I meant to say, "can guys go wrong with buy women roses." Not, me, personally buying you roses.

Roses are always good...I prefer a plant or tree...Last year i got a tree...Oh its still alive i didn't kill it LOL...

Roses are always beautiful. Try a different colour then red, like pink or yellow, ask your florist what colours they have as they might have something a bit different. My favourite flowers are pink roses and tulips but every girl is different in what there favourite flower will be. Don't worry about it to much when you get to know the girl more and find out what flower is her favourite then you can buy them for her for. Just DO NOT buy service station flowers as receiving them suck!! LOL. Good luck and happy valentines day

sure you could be wrong with roses cause some women like me dont like the colour red, i prefer white
and for some women, especially if they are feminist, they view rose as an insulting gift for a woman
giving roses is thoughtful but not the creative enough, just sweet not memorable

You can't go wrong with the exeption of allergies.
You could get her roses and pick something more personable too, like a singing teddy or something.

Roses are good, but girls these days prefer diamonds, real diamonds.
Roses are ephemeral and do not last long, and if u want love to last for a short time, it is ok.
Diamonds are forever, and u will get love that last longer, maybe forever.

roses are too predictable not unless it has some color combination, white propose purity, red affection, sorry ive forgot the other symbols, but the most misunderstood color is the Black Rose "thats how my world would be, if your gone"

Capital n capital o. Roses always, always say "I love you." Plastic roses last longer but they are also plastic, smell like plastic, and... are.. plastic. So buy real ones.
Then again if you know she hates flowers, or loves them but is allergic, obviously not. Haha.

It would have to be a really big bouquet - and not with baby breath, a less typical partner to roses - which is how I would want my partner to be.
