I think that answer is obvious. sorry. But I think he feels ashamed and embarrased when he holds your hand in front of large crowds. I kind of tells that he's ashamed to be your boyfriend. Or maybe is that he can't show you off in front of large crowds because there are better looking couples or he shows you off in small crowds because he wants to be the spotlight or something. Who knows. Just confront him about it. Ask him why. good luck

Wow, I like your question and here is my answer. Your boyfriend may be shy and he may not feel comfy with a large crowd. So you have to observe him closely and watch first before you ask him. Remember guy and gal are different the way they do thing. So takes it easy about holding hand in a large crowd. If you know him well enough then you can ask him why and I am sure he will feel comfy to tell you.

First of all it’s only in large groups, right. So he will hold your hand in front of people. Maybe he is not into PDA in large groups. That can be pretty common in men.

Honestly, don't worry about it. It doesn't mean he loves you less. He is just probley not into public displays of affection. Now if he treats you like crap and makes you feel worthless, then we have a problem. Seriously..don't worry.
