My ritual is burnt toast, a multi-vitamin and lots of water before bed.
Here's why:
The carbon from the burnt outside acts as a filter to help sweep away toxins. (They use the same idea for victims of alcohol poisoning in the emergency room, except those people get a much more potent carbon mixture pumped into their stomachs.)
The bread helps to absorb some of the alcohol.
The multi-vitamin helps replenish vitamins A, B6, C, potassium, and others which are lost during alcohol metabolism.
The large quantity of water, necessary to down the vitamin and get the burnt taste out of your mouth anyway, helps with the dehydration.
You actually fight the three major causes of a hangover with this: acetaldehyde (the toxic by-product of alcohol metabolism), dehydration and nutrient depletion.
Cheers!

drink more , until you are sober again , then there is no hang over to avoid a hangover don't drink it ..or you could do like my stupid alcoholic brother who lives on vodka he uses cocaine to rid the hangover (not the crack junk) the powder of course he is only 42 years old and all the doctors tell him it is too late to recover from the damage of the vodka he will be dead before Christmas.... best of luck on the hangover ....cheers

Make sure you drink PREMIUM vodka. When you are ready to end the night, make sure to take some advil or tylenol. Also keep a water bottle close to you in case you tend to get dehydrated. If that doesnt work. Eat anything that has grease! McDonalds, etc.

Well, let me tell you how to prevent it first, cause thats always the best course of action: drink only premium.
But back to your question: Menudo, it's a Mexican dish, and its basically tripe soup. Pretty disgusting, in my opinion, but people swear by it.
Otherwise, there's just good ol water and ibuprofen. Works for me. But like I said, I haven't had a hangover since I stopped drinking cheap booze.
