That is how do I format the diskette and etc, etc, etc

To format a floppy disk, click My Computer, Right Click Drive A, Scroll down to format, but put the floppy in first.

Also note, if the little slider that covers one of the holes in the floppy is not slid to cover the hole it will not format, that is write protect mode.

To save a word document to drive A do this.

Click File
Scroll down to "Save as"
Change the directory at the top of the page from "My Documents" to "31/2 Floppy (A:)"

To save from Drive A insert the floppy and open the contents of the drive, then right click and select "send to" and then "My Documents"

Go to wal-mart or store XYZ and buy some disks they should arealy be ready for most computers. In Microsoft Word: Open the document, Click file, then save as. Another menu wil pop up select drive A , then type your file name and save to disk TA DA!

Put it in your floppy disk drive, open "my computer", right click on floppy disk drive, and choose format. when it is done, copy the file onto it.

*IF* you're referring to a 3.5" disk... it should already be formatted, so all you need to do is click on File, then Save as, and click to the A drive
