Hi, I am on Trinessa(generic orthotricylcin) for 6 months now. I am 20 years old and have been on bc since I turned 18. Recently however I started my period when I am taking active pills. it isn't spotting, it was really painful when it started and it's still going kind of heavy. I really want to know whats going on. thanks!

You may have gotten too used to the extra hormones in your body and need to up the dosage. (It happened to my cousin) But if it hurts I really suggest maybe going to a clinic or make an appointment with your doctor.

I was also going to say it may have been a miscarriage. If you are sexually active (which I'm guessing you are), there IS a posibility you still could have gotten pregnant. Misgarriages can happen from taking the birthcontrol while being pregnant so you should definitely check it out.

call your OBGYN or a pharmacist at any drug store and ask them. They are the people you should speak to, not on yahoo.
