Anyone have a guess? I would like to know as I am wondering if I should not store them in my car and keep them there through my work day. The Champagne is approx 12 percent alcohol. If it just gets them really cold, that's great. If they freeze then they would likely be ruined. Any info would be helpful. Thanksk.

It froze in about 3 hours in that cold temp. The bottle/cork has exploded!! Catch the flavor in the air fumes, it's too late to drink it now!

I'm not sure at what temperature -15 Celsius is, but I guarantee it does freeze. I have left my champagne in the freezer too long and it not only ruins it, it breaks the bottle and you have a bunch of frozen champagne and glass to clean up.

Stronger alcohol like vodka and tequila can be in the freezer and never freeze. Champagne does not have enough alcohol content though not to freeze.

It will freeze and most likely will explode since Champagne or sparling wine have Carbon Dioxide which produces the fizz the molecules will expand and well boom so if you do not want to ruin your champagne and have a huge mess do not leave in your car.

You should store your champagne at room temperature for short term storage(up to several months). For long term storage champage really should be at wine cellar temperatures(55-60 degrees F.) You can definitely chill them in your freezer for about an hour before you are ready to serve them. If you keep them in your freezer for much longer than that you will ruin them and you will have a big mess to clean up. I would not leave them in your car whether it be too cold or too hot.

My wager would be that it will no longer freeze. The alcohol and sugars will decrease the freezing factor some levels, water is truly stable at conserving warmth and glass is amazingly a stable thermal insulator. yet while this is a first rate pink i does no longer depart it accessible.
