I am writing a graduate paper on American immigration policy and l would need any information or resource that can help me with that. I need answers to questions like:
1. When did the USA introduced its immigration laws
2. What prompted the introduction of the immigration laws
3. Is the purpose for the introduction of the law been achieved?
4. Has there been changes in the policies? If yes, when? What p
prompted the changes?

And since most of documented immigration was going through Ellis island you can also check:

You might be able to find some answers to your questions there.

You're writing a "graduate paper" and you came to Yahoo Answers as a source? Are you serious? In all your years of schooling, you've never heard of "research", "search engine" or "library"? Was your diploma a blue light special at K-Mart? Please tell me your kidding - I'm not going to be able to sleep at night!

Since I cannot reply to your ridiculous email (see below):
""You are very stupid. Do you know why l posted the question on this site? Asshole! If you don't have anything to share just shut up. Idiot. I posted this question based on the recommendation of my professor. To help you understand why l posted the question on this site, get this; the paper is already written and submitted to the professor. But he requested that we search the internet to find what others have written about the issue. Dummy! Come again idiot!""

I have posted my response here:

Whoa Tiger - I'm actually not that stupid. You, on the other hand, are wrapped too tight and you're rude. Perhaps I should have clarified my comment by adding that if you are looking for input on a college level paper, Yahoo Answers is about as poor a source as one could get. When your professor said, "research the Internet to find what others have written about the subject" I doubt he meant for you to throw the question out on Yahoo.
I have no idea why you took my answer so personally but in the
future, keep in mind that you are talking to a perfect stranger. You have no idea who I am, what my background is, nor do you know my intelligence quotient. Resorting to verbal abuse such as "stupid, idiot and dummy" really reflects poorly on you. Relax, life is hard enough (I mean good Lord, there are starving children in Africa!) and there is no need to spin out of control over a silly thing like Yahoo Answers. No hard feelings, my very best to you.
