I'm looking to get a tatto of both my girls' names, but I can't quite figure out how to translate their names in the the Korean alphabet. Any help would be appreciated.

The translation you were given was incorrect. I don't have the korean language pack installed here so I cannot put the characters you need, but be careful. You should find a native english speaker that also speaks korean to translate for you. A korean will surely mess up the correct pronunciation and give you the wrong characters.

매디선 for madison
멕켄지 for mckenzie

edit.
ok the mckenzie characters given by the person above make a longer sound.. kind of like maek-kenzie
the one i gave is sort of mec-kenzie with a shorter ae sound.
or if you want mic-kenzie, then the first character would be 믹
I don't know if you really care about the nuances in pronunciation, but either works.

and the last character that I gave you for Madison makes a sun sound whereas the one the other person gave makes a soon sound.

edit... again.

how am i making things complicated? i explained the sounds and gave the asker choices from which he can choose. if he wants to make the name sound the way koreans would pronounce american names, then he can choose one way, and if he wants to make the name sound the way americans pronounce american names, he can choose the other way. choices, choices. there's no one set way to turn foreign words into korean.

Go with what Chris gave you. That is as close as you will get. The first two are just wrong and the one after Chris is making things A LOT more complicated than it needs to be. And I can't figure out what the guy just above me is talking about.

Please do not get these tattoo done until you have actually asked someone who's native language is Korean IN PERSON. The Internet is a good place to find information but it is not always reliable.
