If you worry about other people saying about you, then you have a real big big problem.
You must over come that first before even thinking about anything else.
Please be confident and take control by building some strength inside, such as success in work, in school, or in anything you are doing.

How can she be popular if she's not the hottest girl? So you are the type of guy who cares more about looks and what people would say bout your girl. If you truly like her and love talking to her, what's the harm about going out with her? I think you should. For me, I don't personally care if my guy was the trashiest guy ever but as long as he has a big heart and knows how to treat me right, but not too much. Good luck. Follow your heart not your head.

tell your friends to piss off and go with who makes you happy. if your friends make fun of you for something like that than they arent your friends. they should be happy for you. go for her dude
