Question Details: I've asked questions on relationships, I'm sure we all have, or we've at least tried to answer some of these questions. But the seemingly endless flow of repeated and odd questions in the singles and dating category is astonishing! With Valentine's Day fever everywhere, we all lose some of our cowardice, and take the big leap, we ask someone out. But, why, why are we so afraid of other people, and their reactions? There are many stereotypical answers to this question, but what is YOUR personal opinion on it?

Stereotypical or not, it's very simple. People are afraid of rejection. Whether it's a love relationship, a friendhip, a job offer, whatever.... It's just a lot worse when it comes to relationships because it's on such a personal level. There's really not much to be afraid of anyway. If you ask someone out and they say no, it might be a little disappointing, but would you want to be with someone who isn't interested in you too? A smart person knows that you can't make someone love you - they either do or they don't. Most people are just afraid of going through so many inevitable rejections before they find that one person who likes them too. Valentine's Day is just one of those days that people seem to show a little more bravery because they know so many people are out there looking for love at the same time.
