Why is there so much Muslim bashing on Yahoo Answers?

and everywhere else for that matter? I had no idea they were so hated... WOW

Sorry, I edited my question and it posted twice! Keep the answers coming though =)

PS: I'm not Muslim & I do see all the other bashing... this question was sparked from a question I asked about Obama - and there were so many Muslim comments in return! His FATHER was Muslim people. He was raised agnostic.

People are ignorant to what they don't understand. That goes to Muslim bashing, Jewish bashing, Christian bashing, Wiccan bashing, Gay/Lesbian bashing, RACE bashing, Gender bashing, ETC ETC.
People are going to bash anything and everything/one when they don't understand it. It doesn't help that the media portrays Muslims to be like this. It's like saying all Mormons are bigamists, and pedifiles, and perverts. That's not true, and the same goes for all else!

Every religion is bashed on Yahoo Answers - you will find judgemental, hateful and ugly question about almost every major religion.
I have followed the tolerant answerers from different religious backgrounds, thinking they will never give in to the bandwagon of bashing Christians, Muslims and Jews but eventually in some answer or the other, they blatantly abuse each others' prophets. It is sad and ironic watching otherwise intelligent adults acting this way.
I am a strong proponent of religious tolerance and will keep trying to promote it.

well, everyone is bashing everyone here on Y/A but i'll concede that Muslims seem to get uncalled for insults.

because of 9/11 a lot of people are afraid, afraid of Islam. our government and media has pumped up the volume on fear to a fever pitch and fear makes some people mean. that's all.

but look at it this way. even tho the US was attacked by a group of Muslims, American Muslims weren't rounded up and forced into concentration camps like Japanese Americans were. at least we've come that far. cold consolation, perhaps, but better some dirty looks and insults on Y/A then being imprisoned due to national panic.

I don't hate Muslims and no one should bash them.
I disagree with the inaction of there religion towards all the violence.

Like I say it's okay to hate the actions of others but it's not okay to hate other people.

That is would you hate your brother b/c he uses drugs?
You can hate the fact he's a drug addict. However you should still love him.

If you look closely you'll see there's lot of athiest and Christian bashing too, it's just a lot more general. With Islam there are some specifics that bug a lot of people.

You'll also notice the atheists and Christians, as a general rule, take it more in stride. This place is like a second disfunctional home.

Allah Almighty had created human for good cause - Pray to him.
As such, Satan had protested and tell Allah Almighty that he will make sure no one pray to Allah and will bring as many human to Hell.
ISLAM is a TRUE religion. Many non Muslims does not like it and always try to influence the Muslim to disbelief ISLAM and Alquran.They wanted to change as many Muslims as they could to cause them to be Murtad. As Allah had mentioned to Satan, Only to those that U can, U may influence them.
Satan use all possible tactics and strategies to influence the Muslims not to belief Islam and make them change their religion. That is why, as U asked this is also part of their tactic to make Muslims hate their own people and religion. Only those Muslims with strong Iman and hold very tightly to Alquran and Alhadith are the Muslims that can hold their fort.
May Allah S.W.T protect all Muslims from the influence to disbelief Islam and help all Muslims towards becoming a pious Muslims.

people are mean when they are bored.I'm sorry if it hurts but if you can look beyond this you will see that the world is not perfect but it is beautiful to be free.
