Vegemite is Australian and Marmite in English.... Promite schmomite.... its not the real thing! Marmite is much stronger, well at least the English version. Vegemite is very good with eggs. Its just really yeast extract and then the respective makers add their own touch of flavour. High in vitamins good for pregnant women and children.

Promite is sweeter than Vegemite, it's also darker, softer and easier to spread.
Other than that, they're the same type of product, just produced by different manufacturers.

vegemite is the strongest,promite is a little sweeter,and marmite is in between.and don't forget mighty mite...lol
i mix up between promite and vegemite...

i've never tasted marmite, but i think promite is a bit sweeter than vegemite. i love them both
