okay, my ex (sort of) were having an arguement the other day on when you're considered "bf/gf".. I told him that one is supposed to ask or something of the sort.... he thinks that's not normal, which I think is weird. If two people "go out".. as in on dates, they're dating.. but they're not technicly bf/gf, right? If someone didn't ask, or two people didn't talk about what they are... there might be a problem with what you and the other person label your relationship, right? Which was kind of what happened with me and him.

I guess you kind of just got in dates and never took time to talk about your relationship. But you don't have to formally ask someone to be your bf/gf as long as both agree on what kind of relationship you are it is ok

going out doesn't mean boyfriend and girlfriend.....
i think that happens when both people genuinely like each other a lot and are willing to call each other that.
or maybe not. i don't know. maybe there needs to be a certain amount of cuddling, kissing, loving.
i was going to a girl's house a bunch of times last summer and going for walks with her now and then, but we didn't ever kiss even. so i don't think we were bf/gf.

Some people will consider the person as their bf/gf without asking but if you really wanted him to ask, tell him that you want him to ask the question. I am the type that want guys to ask, in order to be considered as their gf. My ex used to thought we are bf/gf and he didn't ask. I told him I wanted him to ask, and then he did.
Tell him what you want or what you're thinking. If you want him to ask, do it. You can discuss it with him. Tolerate each other.

When there's a mutual understanding between both parties that they want to take their relationship to the next level. For example, if u guys were innitally friends but then developed stronger feelings for each other then you would communicate those feelings and agree to commit.

I'd say so. I have so often foolishly thought that I was a girls boyfriend when in actuality, I wasn't. Even friends can go places and hang out. But if you guys go somewhere romantic, if he pays for your meal, or if you guys kiss, then you could be labeled as a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship.

I agree with you. You can date multiple people, but its not like you can have three boyfriends. Also, you can't have a relationship without knowing where you both are. Talking is one of the most important things to make it successful!

Well this is kind of hard a lot of times I think its just implied but some people do talk about it but all in all its when you dating each other exclusively.

Usually you're going out when he steps up and becomes a man and asks you to be his girlfriend. I hope you find someone fast, unless you like girls of course.
