There are really too many benefits to name, however, to name a few. I have the benefit of everlasting life in heaven, and I have the benefit to be able to love my enemies. I also have the benefit of peace, not as the world views peace, but the peace that Jesus gives. I am so glad that you asked that question, because it just makes my heart feel great to know Him! Thank you and God bless you!

I benefit with strength. God lifts me up, and gives me what I need to face difficult challenges. I benefit from his guidance, when I am faced with tough decisions. I benefit with vision, when I cannot see things clearly. I benefit with love, when hate tries to fill my heart. I benefit with inspiration, when faced with hopelessness. I benefit from his light, when I'm lost in the darkness. But most of all, I benefit because I know that I am never alone.

There is a peace that passes all understanding when you know your Creator. When you have a relationship with your Father & you know you can call on Him & count on Him in every little circumstance in your life. Self-esteem grows & abounds when you are able to acknowledge the sacrifice that was made just for you. Because God loved you enough that He made a way for your sin to be cleansed & He made a way for us to be with Him one day though we could never be worthy. When you live in His promises & He never lets you down. When you trust Him to do what He says & He does every time. I benefit from not having to worry whether or not my actions are going to get me incarcerated or if I will end up with a sexual disease or if I will have a deathly hangover the next day. I benefit in that I don't have to worry about if my lies are going to be found out & my husband will leave or my boss will fire me because of them. I don't do that stuff because I don't need to anymore. God is my high. He is my moral compass. His laws are for my benefit not to restrict me. I am already restricted in my own sin. When I let go of that burden is when I am truly free.

He is my Savior (eternal life), Redeemer (free from the curse of the Law), Baptizer (gives the Holy Ghost "without measure"), Friend (confidant and lover in close intimate fellowship). He never leaves me, forsakes me, gives up on me - He never sleeps but watches over me 24/7. He gives me peace that passes understanding even when life is in turmoil, joy that has nothing to do with temporal circumstances and hope that every situation is working in concert for my eternal good. He cleanses me from condemnation and guilt, He frees me from the limits of my own destructive ways in both thinking and acting and He gives me the unconditional love that can only come from God. He provides, protects, assures, sanctifies, encourages, calls, enables, gives gifts, heals and causes my soul to soar in Him. While everything around may be in chaos, I am sitting in "heavenly places" in my beloved Christ. He is closer than my very breath and much more dear than life itself. I think different, I feel different, I act different - I am complete, whole and have a purpose, a hope and a future. The past doesn't control my present and all the old "emotional baggage" is washed away. I am totally new, with a new outlook, mindset and goal. My very being hungers and thirsts for more of Him - to know Him intimately, completely, fully. It is a never ending goal and one that I intend to pursue throughout my life and into eternity. How have I benefited? Oh let me count the ways.........!

Well you have a peace knowing that you are never alone because God is there with you all the time and loves you to death. You know you can ask him for forgiveness whenever you have done something wrong and he'll forgive. He loves you unconditionally unlike any human love no matter what you have done. I know I can pray for things like protection for myself and my family and we will have it and other things like enough money and just everyday life stuff. I know I will go to heaven when I die and I'm not afraid of death anymore. I know I will go live with him and dead relatives and the angels in heaven. I will get to explore the entire universe one day and do all the things I could only dream of.

I am not looking for benefit. God is love I am looking to love Him. He is Love so I want that. I am not interested in temporary mundane love which always ends in misery (ultimately death) The love God (Krishna) can offer is unlimited and unending. You just haven't found it. The benefit is more love. Not bread. Everyone gets Bread, even the birds and beasts get their food.

You have to understand before you believe. God is everywhere and in everything. God is knowledge and we are part of God. There was no beginning or no end, just change. Time is an illusion. The key is balance.

There is no benefit, it's just a belief. Kind of like if you don't believe in anything at all, you don't benefit either. You can't prove God did something or made your life better, it's all in how you look at it. For some, it makes them feel more secure to think there is a certain place they will go after death and someone who guides their life. If something good comes from that, great.

I benefit from beleiving that all this **** that happens in the world is happening for a reason. That there is a good thing somewhere, and that bad stuff isn't the only thing.

Plus the holidays that come along with a religion aren't too bad. i.e. christmas :]

It really all depends upon what you do with it. If I believe in water but I refuse to drink it, I will dehydrate and my body will not function properly. If I refuse to bathe in it, I will remain dirty and smelly and will never get clean from it. If I owned all the water in the world and refused to share it with anyone else, I would lead a very lonely life.
