There's a few friends that used to be on the same ship (USS Wadsworth) as me back when I was in the Navy down in 32nd Street, San Diego. I'm sure some of them are still in the Military but have gotten new orders. Just wanted to know how I can contact them to see how they are doing for old times sake.

If you go to www.usswadsworth.com, you will see that the page is under construction. I was lucky that someone from my old ship found me right after one of the reunions. Seems that an association was formed around 17 years ago. My old ship was commissioned in 1942 and decommissioned in 1970. We have a reunion every year in September.
You might want to subscribe to magazines from organizations like VFW or American Legion. Also try www.military.com. Do a search for your old ship and see what you come up with. There may already be an association out there waiting for you to join. check for a website with the hull number, check for websites for any sister ships. Also, try www.navy.togetherweserved.com.. thats another good site.
Lots of places to search, but takes some time.
good luck.. I know that once you find your old shipmates, you will have fun.

You need to do a bit more research. All military people have these same problem. They want to contact their old buddies. Now, with technology its easier because people have put up websites just for this same reason. I would google your company or maybe the name of your ship and see if there is a web page about it. If there is they will usually have a forum in which you can ask for more information. If they don't have the info at least they will be able to point you in the correct way.

Good luck.
