The United States leads the world in carbon dioxide emissions as a country. On a per person basis, Qatar produces the most carbon dioxide.

The leader in freshwater pollution is Israel when the pollution is calculated tons of pollution per cubic kilometer of water. That does not mean that Israel produces more water pollution than any other country, though. Be sure to notice what the criteria are for each set of data.
The United States has made major strides in cleaning up water and cutting back on water pollution since the Clean Water Act of 1972.

Water pollution - China, hands down. Also toxic air pollution.
Global warming - The US. But China is gaining on us.
