If you cheat once, is it likely that you will do it again? Does it stop once you are married or do some people just never change?

People cheat for various reasons. Some cheat because they are not getting what they want or need in a relationship so they look elsewhere. Some cheat because they are just plain cheaters. Others cheat because they can. Yes I believe if you cheat once, you will cheat again. The old saying: Once a cheater, always a cheater. Cheating does not stop once you are married. And yes, some people never change.

I would like to say some people never change once a cheater always a cheater, most likely if a guy cheats on you he will do it again, but maybe in a diffrent relationship he will never cheat. People cheat for many diffrent reason sometimes they are not getting what they want from their partner so they look elsewhere.

"Once a cheater always a cheater" is a bunch of crap. First you have to consider the person... some people WILL always be cheaters but they'll probably tell you right up front! There are also so many other things to consider... at what point in the relationship was the cheating done? how persistant was the other person? what were the circumstances at home - and what were the circumstances that lead to the cheating? etc, etc, etc...

If my significant other wasn't there for me emotionally - on a consistant basis (not just because he had a bad day) - , and someone else was... thats what would make me cheat.

If you are not married or engaged to be married, then having sex or going out on dates with someone else cannot be cheating. How can it be? There is no formal commitment. Nothing enforceable. Just a "hand shake!" A partnership in business must be in writing to be legal, just like a marriage license and certificate. Cheating is when you break a formal commitment, don't you think? Having a sex partner is just playing house with the understanding that there will probably be others before, during, and after.

no, if you cheat once, most likely you will do it again, maybe in a year or even more, but 9 out of 10 you WILL do it again... it never leaves the brain, some people are just cheaters. thats just what they are. maybe 5 times a week, aybe 1 time every 3 years, but once a cheater ALWAYS a cheater. no matter what the hell they say,

I think if you cheat while you are in a relationship, you will very likely do the same thing eventually while with the same person. But I think you can get with someone else and never cheat on them because the circumstances are different.

Absolutely nothing! I don't care if he was cheating on me...I've been there and had that happen...it hurts too much. I would never want to be responsible for another person feeling the way I felt when it happened to me. Besides, I value myself as a person and would not lower myself to the same level.

if you cheat once, you will not stop. cheating is something that happens when you get bored, and if you get bored it means that you have problems getting serious. marriage will not stop a cheater, it will just make the situation worse over time.

I have never cheated and I don't believe in cheating. If you want to be free than you shouldn't be in a relationship.
