It's valentine's day....most gals receiving gifts & flowers...others go out on a date....what about me...what should i do?

I'll be alone this Valentine's Day, too. I'm going to pick up a favorite movie, a bottle of wine, get into my jammies and just enjoy the evening by myself.
But if I wanted to go out, I would call some of my friends who are between "sweeties" and go out on the town.

Get your other single, unattached friends together and go to the spa, or rent a few movies, sit around in your PJ's and eat popcorn and candy. Go to a club or bar where there will be lots of other singles. Have a shopping spree, get a new haircut or have your nails done.
Surround yourself with friends who are also single and just treat today like any other, but have a little more fun today.

Treat your own self the way you should be treated Dress up and go out for dinner by your self. Buy your own roses. Love yourself first.
You do not need a man to make you feel worthwhile or complete.
Enjoy being by yourself on occasions like this, it's ok. I think that it's fun. Or you can find some of your single friends and enjoy the day together. That's allowed.

Make the most of the day and remember all those you care about and care for yourself. Romantic love comes and goes. There will be a Valentines Day in 2008. Make the most of the day and be happy.

If you have friends and family, spend some time with them, Valentines Day is for showing all kinds of love. Just be thankful for what you have. Maybe next year will be different for you. Good Luck!

why ask such a pitiful question... treat it like another day lah. And if you hv no friends to go out with today, don blame it on valentine's day but yourself. I plan on dressing up and taking myself out to a nice restaurant. I LOVE me and I deserve it. Who knows, maybe there will be some unattached men there?????

i like a lot of the answers given here, esp by the gals. i once sent myself flowers, when my husband i were on our way to divorce (no, he never forgot to send flowers on either v day or my birthday, and they were classy, pretty, the freshest too). i picked them out at the florist myself too. he stopped over and asked me where they came from. i told him that they came from a secret admirer: she was myself.
