If someone threatened you, or it was a very annoying call, you can dial *57 immediately after the call, and if the calling number is available to the telephone system of your local service provider, a record of the annoyance call will be made. This may cost you something like $2.00. You will not be able to find out the phone number of the calling party, but if you contact the police and tell them the time you received the call, and the nature of the threat, and if there are repeated violations by the same person, they may be able to take action against them.

If it is a harrassing or threatening situation, you can first contact your local police. They have a way of working with the phone companies to do "live trap and trace" (all phone companies have some kind of corporate security organizations that do this). That is the only way.

unfortunately no; that's the purpose of blocking your number to begin with. if you have the line tapped, and have several detectives working on it, they can track a number generator. shame you can't call them back with *58...
