Imodium - take one after every incident of diarrhea. Works like a charm! You can take up to 4 or 6 per day - check the directions. You can get a box for about 5 or 6 bucks.
Also, eat bananas and peanut butter. Stay away from highly acidic and/or spicy foods for a day or two.

Pepto-Bismol is usually used for small bouts of diarrhea and if it's just something small it can stop it. It's also easier on your system. Meanwhile Imodium actually slows down your system and relaxes muscles. So, it's something you take after a few days, like in your case.
So, try Pepto-Bismol first, and if it doesn't work, try Imodium, and if that doesn't work see your doctor.
You see 3 days isn't actually that long: "The acute form, which lasts less than 4 weeks, is usually related to a bacterial, viral, or parasitic infection."
However, better safe then sorry!

If you have had watery diarrhea for 3 days you should see your Dr, chances are you are dehydrated and will need IV fluids. You need to go on strict bowel rest. Drink plenty of water and gator aide or pedialyte, eat chicken broth. When you are able to keep those down for a day you can add some other liquids like soup, jello and juices. After a day of full liquids you can go to a "brat' diet (broth, rice, applesauce and toast). Hope you feel better.

Try Immodium aka loperimide. If this doesn't help after a couple of doses then see your doc and get this checked out as you may have something more than plain diarrhea going on.
