I have bittorent 4.4.1, cause it faster then any of the new ones. Is there a different one thats faster?

I have a 1.5mb connection speed. The 4.4.1 version downloads faster for me. It takes way less time then the newer versions. Plus I like the setup more, its easier to use.

I will check out Azureus, thanks.

Hi Malum.

Actually, although I otherwise think the application is cool, I generally don't care for Azuerus because (at least in the default settings) it *loves* to upload more than download.

I'd instead advise bitornado: http://www.bittornado.com/ The only drawback is that if you do multiple downloads, each download will have it's own separate instance of bitornado, raising up your cpu usage (but you don't want too many downloads going..it bottlenecks your connection).

What you didn't know is that the original bittorrent client developed by Bram Cohen (?), trades it's stability for being one of (if not *the*) slowest client...the one that started them all!!

P.S. here's a page with a list of clients and various people discussing their various experiences with different clients: http://forums.torrentportal.com/fpost455.html#455

Please tell them "Corypolo" says hi

Well... i have used almost 7 different bittorrent software. And except for BitComet, I feel all other software are the same. Personally I prefer Azureus. I feel its the fastest (but that may be my personal myth).

Actually, much depends on your bandwidth....

A bittorrent application is in basic terms a application to apply for downloading torrents. in case you elect speedier downloads, you will desire to have a pc perfect for downloads (it can not be fairly rapid laptop yet i might recommend a minimum of P4 processor), good and rapid cyber web connection, and an unrestricted working device meaning a linux one or an XP without anti virus, no firewalls and greater tcp ports and connections allowed. of course, do no longer neglect the main or nicely-known bit torrent application. in case you have this, you will need the quickest acquire ever.

Nope. They are all equal speed and use the same method.
