Food allergies can develop over time. Right now it is a burning sensation at the back of your mouth, next time it might be itching or hives, later it could become full blown anaphilaxis (sp?). You should see an allergist to be sure, but it sounds like you have developed a mild allergy. As I wrote before, these can gradually become more serious, so talk to an allergist and be sure before you eat any more cashews.

Some people are allergic to cashews. It has a substance (antigen) most often eaten that is recognized by the immune system and causes an allergic reaction.

It might be that you are developing a nut allergy. Nut allergies can begin at any time.

See a specialist and have yourself tested because if you have an allergy you may need to carry an epi pen in case of accidental exposure.

It's probably from the salt and from the texture of the nuts. I get that sometimes if I eat alot of sunflower seeds or anything that is salty.
