i'v had a surgery about 1 1/2 years ago...it is called M&T. i would like to know whether the tube is going to stay inside my ear for how long?if it is going to drop out, is it going to be bit by bit or the whole thing?does it have any symptoms or discomfort?maybe healthcare professionals can help me answer these questions!

Everybody is different. The tubes frequently fall out on their own, all in one piece. They are pretty tiny, like a quarter-inch piece of pencil lead, but flexible. It won't hurt.

When they come out they are complete tubes not fragments. My son had tubes in his ears three times as a little kid. I would guess yours are close to coming out now as your canals enlarge after 1 1/2 years. You could ask your ear doctor to check what is happening.

My son had tubes put in his ears. They came out on their own about 2 years later. They just dropped out. He didn't tell me he hurt at all.
