Why? Because you have not resolved what you would like to forget. That which is "resolved" in your life gives power to your life. You forget what should be remembered because "knowing" it initially puts demands on you that you don't what to accept.

I do not know. But I have forgotten many things that most people would be glad to forget...however that just leaves me confused as to what the heck happened in my life up until the age of 13!

Because we dwell on the things we should be forgetting which keeps them in the forefront of our mind and don't write down or tell someone the things we should remember so they aren't in the forefront of our mind.

OK when you want to forget something and you asked God to forgive you for it . Then that means he forgave and he dosent remember ever that. Then you shouldn't either.
