1. Don't use water that is too hot when you shower.

2. Buy natural shampoos and conditioners (eg, Alchemy from the Purist Company), and massage a treatment conditioner into your scalp. Don't over shampoo your hair (it over-dries it)

3. Try scalp massages (with herbal infusions if you want)

4. Try a one-part mouthwash to 10-parts water final rinse

5. Try a dandruff shampoo & conditioner

6. Find a supplement designed to help your skin and hair, or a good multivitamin.

7. See a doctor/skin specialist to get specific treatment.

Everyone gets "dandruff" to some extent. Remember that your scalp is skin and needs to shed itself. People usually get more flaking when they're stressed, too.

Use selsun blue medicated shampoo. I used to have dandruff as a child until I used it for about 6-7 months.

Use Head&Shoulders or any kind of dandruff shampoo similar to it. Trust me Head&Shoulders works, i have been using for like 6 years. I use to have itchy flakes 6 years ago and now i don't have any and i don't have to worry about them anymore, but i still use Head&Shoulders to prevent it from coming back. And it's makes my hair soft and silky too! You can buy the big bottle of it from Costco, it will save you some money.

My boyfriend has dandruff, and he used to use head and shoulders, and other dandruff shampoos, and while they helped, there were still some flakes. Now he uses something called T-Gel made by Neutrogena. It does smell kinda funny, but it Really worked for him. Good luck, I hope you find something that works for you.
