Christians do not worship a man. God is God in three parts - God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. If you truly want to understand this concept, you're going to have to read the Bible simply because it is explained in both the Old and New Testaments.

I personally read the New International Version, my husband uses the New King James Version and my daughter uses The Message Bible.

For people who are trying to learn biblical concepts, I recommend either The Message Bible or The Amplified Bible (which Joyce Meyer uses). They are both written in a way that is more "modern" and more easily understandable in "today speak." They aren't the best choice for true theological study. Then you want to use either the King James or the New King James.

Be blessed.

This is a great question, Let me help you out. God created the world. And you know the stories, adam and eve and the mess they started. Then God said, this is a mess lets start over. Hince Noah's ark. Well after that man got off to a pretty good start but and history would prove, we would screw it up again. No more water just Jesus. He was sent here to prech God's word and to spread the message. When Jesus was born he knew his fate. And that you ask was to be the key to the door called heaven. I dont know why you think Christians worship Jesus instead of God but, that is incorrect. Christians belive in the holy trinity. Which is the Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit. We worship God our Father in heaven. And we study Jesus' word in the bible to teach us the way to the Holy Father. Hope this helps.!!!

The Jews worshipped God long before Christians existed. What defines Christians is the recognition and worship of God in the flesh, in the Person of Jesus Christ, second Person of the Most Holy Trinity. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word WAS God". Jesus Christ is the Word made flesh, Who dwelt among us. He is therefore God made flesh, true man but also true God, therefore deserving of our supreme worship.

Christians don't worship a man. If you are referring to Jesus Christ, He is God in the flesh. God Himself, being just, paid the ultimate price of death to satisfy the penalty for sin (not His but ours--He is sinless) because we are unable to do so.

John 1:14
John 3:16
Hebrews 10: 11-18

Who told you Christians worship a man?... That is not correct... I am of The True Christian Faith and I only worship God.... The One True God, The Creator of This universe and all that is in it.

Excuse me? Read the Bible. God is a Trinity...the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. To worship one is to worship the other, but God is the one we worship. That's why we always pray to "Our Father who art in heaven"...understand something before you accuse something you know nothing about.

Do you mean Jesus because he is God also. He was present in the old testament as Son of God and he said him and the Father are one. In Psalm 110:1 God the Father (LORD) said to Jesus (Lord) "sit at my right hand" so he is definitely more than just a man. He also raised the dead and forgave sins.

Jesus is God. We believe in the Trinity, which includes the Father (God), Son (Jesus), and the Holy Spirit. We worship them all because they are one and the same. Jesus was fully man and fully God at the same time.

There were so many reasons why Christ has to come to this earth.
One main reason is to be a sacrifice for sins, as on the day of judgement, justice can be showed to people.
To tell people about the Kingdom of God and about God Himself and how God expects us to be. God sent Jesus into the world. But always Jesus has given all the glory to God's name only.
For eg. "If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father; for he is greater than I."John14:28. There are many instances. Its nice to hear what people say, but its good to read it ourselves, so that we can know the truth. Whenever people praise Jesus, its because Jesus did a wonderful thing for us to show His love and so He is honoured.
