I've been looking for information on human skin in cold weather, and with all the snow in america, i figure its as good a time as any to ask.

How cold does it have to be to get frost bite? How should i reheat skin that has been exposed for long periods of time? What fibers best protect skin from cold?

If you could, just link me a site from a health journal or something that explains it, i'll be happy with that... i've been googling different terms for a while and can't get much :-(

One word. Moisturize. Especially in the winter because often heating appliances can dry out the skin. As for clothing, stick to nylons and other synthetic materials. Try to avoid cotton. Save it for the summer, because it is a very breathable material. Plus (this may come across as common sense) but make sure clothing is waterproof, and don't use waterproof sprays on winter clothing. Personal experience! It diminishes the waterproofness, as does drying them in the dryer.
