Obviously go see a doctor. Good luck with that.

You need to ask your doctor to set up a test called a colonoscopy. I had one about a year ago and there was nothing
to it, despite what other people might tell you. I was given a general anesthetic, so was asleep for the procedure. I've had friends who were awake for their tests and felt no discomfort with their local anesthesia. There is no pain during or after, and the test takes very little time. You are laid on your side while the tiniest camera is carefully inserted into the colon to search for polyps.
Polyps have a very good chance of developing into cancer, but the removal of the polyp is simple. The fact that you have blood in your stool may be an indication of a pre-cancerous condition and demands immediate medical attention, as colon cancer advances at a rapid pace. It may be that you have a rectal tear, or a stomach ulser, etc., but it would seem that those would produce localized pain, whereas a colon polyp wouldn't give you that kind of hint.
I want you to schedule an appointment to take care of this tomorrow and let us know what you find out. Don't be afraid to find out why you're bleeding - if something is wrong your chances of correcting it are better if addressed promptly. If your condition is not serious, you can relax and not concern yourself with having another colonoscopy for the next ten or fifteen years. I'm so, so glad that you are smart enough to pay attention to this.

Do you have a history oir do you know of hemorrhoids? they can cause lots of bleeding, if it's bright red it's probably that. If so, use some hot packs to ease the pressure and stop the bleeding. You can buy Preperation H also to stop itching and maybe the bleeding. The best thing is use a stool softener to keep from straining when going #2. this causes irritation and more bleeding. Also, change your diet. Eat a diet with high fiber, like whole grain breads and cereals, low in spices and things like coffee and alcohol. Look it up on Web Md..a diet for Hemorrhoids and follow it. It looks like a lot of blood but really it isn't, and you have a lot of blood in your body. If it continues and you don't feel like the diet is helping you may have to see a Dr. and possibly have them removed. So, I would do all I can to keep from doing that , it is not plesant to go through that. Read about it and try to do what you need to do. God bless. Good luck.

It is surely a case of over heat and bad eating habits. If the blood is red in colour that means that you are putting a lot of stress when doing it .and as there is no mucous in the track there is a rupture in the colon an hence the bleeding. So do take a purgative /laxative and reduce eating all heat producing foods /drinks for a week or so .Do drink a lot of buttermilk and water. That should do the trick ,Be care full if neglected it could lead to prolapse of the colon and require an operation.
Wishing you all the best in fast recovery .

From personal experience this is nothing to take lightly. You could have a simple hemmroid in your intestine or something worse. If the blood is red it is fresh and the source is near your anal opening. You need to be checked out by a doctor. There is a simple test called a colonoscopy that can be done to determine the cause. It is an out-patient proceedure that is painless. It involves a fiber optic scope of your intestine lining to visually allow the doctor to see the source of bleeding.

ok... the same thing happened to me 3 years ago. i was a bit worried, but figured i would wait to see if it went away. then, 3 months later, it was getting worse. so i went to my doctor who told me it was hemerroids and gave me a cream to use and said if it wasn't better in 3 months to come back. then, wierd things started happening a few weeks later, like i became extremely tired all the time, and i had arthritis in my hands and my left ankle swelled up for no reason at all. mind you, i was only 22. i started feeling worse and worse till i could barely work. i had to stop waitressing cause i no longer had the energy and just hostess and i cut my hours back. i also went from 156 lbs down to 92 within 3 months without having changed my eating or excersizing habits at all. i began seeing another doctor and the next day ended up in the hospital with pancreatitis brought on by inflammation from crohn's disease that i never knew i had because my doc put me off. the short of it is, don't let it go, because it could be detremmental to your health. it could be nothing, but you will never know unless you get checked. don't wait till it nearly kills you like i almost did.

Is the blood light red or dark red? if it's light colored it's hemroids. You may not even know you have them. They aren't always really painful. If it's dark you need to go see a doc. I had that problem before and it turns out it was the new pain med I was on. If it is dark be sure to see some1 very soon. It could be serious. Good luck! I do remember that my pap had blood pouring and it was internal hemroids that had to be removed.

There should never be blood in the stool, obvious or otherwise. You have either bleeding hemorroids, caused damage to the anus or rectum, or you have some other problem higher up. Regardless of the cause, this needs to be checked out by a physician as soon as possible.

Call your MD- sounds like internal hemmroids to me- if bathroom time is the only time you see it. I had that happen a few times. First time- I went to the ER.
Just have them check it out.
More info:
They told me if it was BRIGHT RED- it meant it was lower in the colon- (roids) drak or coffee red- meant higher up bleeding. Maybe that can give you some idea as well.

See a doctor ASAP. Go to the ER if the bleeding is profuse. My sister had this and it turned out to be an ulcer of the lower sigmoid or rectum due to taking lots of ibuprophen.
