Singing through the nose; lots of people do it. One way to stop is to pinch your nose while you sing. it forces you to use your diaphragm. If this doesn't get you singing from your diaphragm, the best way to stop singing through the nose is to lay down on the floor, on your back and sing. That voice that comes out is more controlled by your diaphragm. Most singing coaches will either slowly press your diaphragm (around your stomach) to get you to sing with the air down there, or make you hold your nose, or have you lie on your back and sing. Try that.

Actually, singing "through" your nose is not a bad thing! Singing IN your nose creates a nasal sound and can be considered unpleasant.

If you practice imagining you're blowing your nose, you will actually end up with good tonal placement. But to make sure you don't have a nasal sound, try humming with your tongue stuck out between your lips, while the back of inside your mouth feels like it's yawning, so the back of your throat stretches away from the base of your tongue. Let your jaw drop slightly down and back, too!

Singing through your nose is just what it sounds like; singing through your nose. It's when you exhale more air out of your nose than your mouth when you sing.

When you sing with the back of your tongue partially up against the back of your throat. You would need to open up your throat and let the air flow more readily out of your mouth, not so much your nose.

It is called nasal or airy singing. You need better breath support and open your mouth more and sing at the back of your throat.
