What are your thoughts? Does he tempt us? How? Are there any other tools he uses to bring us down?

I can only speak from personal experience. For me, I can expect an attack from him any time I take a step forward in my relationship with God. Most of it is physical or circumstantial. I have arthritis in my back and it can become extremely painful at times. These times usually coincide with that positive step I mentioned. It always follows a day or two later. Also, my circumstances will suddenly take a turn for the worse. Most of the time he uses my children (grown) to get to me as they are the most important thing in my life other than God. He knows if I spend my time worrying about them instead of concentrating on God's purpose for my life I will be less effective as a Christian or even get to the point of blaming God for what happened.

Satan tempts us all the time through the world around us and through other people. It may be something as simple as making us feel that our coworkers promotion was somehow unfair. It takes away from our relationship with God because we are allowing our feelings to interfere. Satan preys on our emotions. Love, hate, jealousy, greed, frustration, envy etc. Satan loves to put other people into our lives that are a constant drain on us emotionally or spiritually in an effort to make us forget God. When I was a new Christian, he used to get to me pretty often. Now, I have learned that all I need to do is say...Get lost. Jesus has already defeated you and you can't touch me because He is my protector. Believe it or not, I sometimes actually have to get angry at Satan and speak the words outloud. It works every time. And, oddly enough within hours or days, suddenly a new blessing appears. Circumstances change for the better.

I know this may sound really creepy. If someone had told me this five years ago I would have thought they were nuts. I used to think of Satan as this creature with horns and a forked tail. Now I don't think of him like a cartoon character. He is very real to me and he is a very dangerous being. God Bless. Hopes this answers your question.

Temptation is Satan's number one tool. He uses it through deception. Satan is the author of pride, which is sin. Through pride he deceives us into falling into his temptations. His deception of Eve in the garden of Eden is the first instance. Eve was deceived through Satan's trickery. Adam, however, willfully disobeyed God. For study purposes, you need to read all of the New Testament to get the full flavor of Satan's destructiveness. I highly recommend a book by the famous Baptist preacher Charles Stanley entitles "When the Enemy Strikes." It is a complete analysis of spiritual warfare. It is easy to read and understand and it should be available in any Christian bookstore or any large secular bookstore. Jesus loves you and he wants you to learn as much about the devil's trickery so that you can put on the whole armor of God. Read Ephesians 6:10-20 for the missionaries credo.

Satan is a myth created by God to use to keep people in fear. If you want the TRUTH about satan read The Satanic Bible by Anton Levay or go to the yahoo search engine and type in Fallen Arch Angels. The truth you seek is there. Christians will always believe the myth because they are weak minded people who have been brainwashed and can only comprehend blind faith and lack of free will. The Catholic school I went too sure left out a lot of details about the devels, notice I put an s at the end.

Regarding the tools that Satan uses:

I was born in a small town just east of Columbus, Ohio. I like animals and firecrackers. Usually when the two are combined. My favorite food is tripe and I hate it when my mom makes me mow the lawn because it makes my shoes turn all green. I also like kayaking and convincing the world's politicians that human beings have nothing to do with global warming. My best friends are George Bush and Mork from Ork. When I grow up I want to be a catholic priest.

I was told at a young age that satan uses the air ways and that was a long time ago!! Before Color sets,VCRS, Sattlelight dishes,or cable tv. I was also told that given human nature, statan really don't have to tempt anyone that much. Greed, Jealousy, lechery, pride, envy and all of that other stuff that comprises mankind, sets the stage, and all he has to do is give us a little nuge, and off we go.jetting straight to hell happy as clams, and never knew what hit us!!

We are so good at self-destruction,we probably wouldn't even
need a satan to jet ourselves straight to hell!!

Satan uses lack of faith and lack of obedience to trip us up. Cause if you obey the Lord pray for grace and ask for faith the Lord will help you overcome the fiery darts of the devil. He will try and make us fight against flesh and blood when in reality we should be fighting against him in the spirit realm. And he is laughing all the while.

Satan has exactly two weapons he uses against us.

1- Deception. He lies to people, contradicting the Word and promises of God in order to keep us ineffective, discourage us, lead us astray, manipulate us to do his will, and just plain destroy us. This can be countered by learning, reading, believing, and using the Word of God (the Bible). Just like Jesus did, we can use the Sword of the Spirit, the Word of God in order to expose Satan's lies to be lies, and keep them from making a home in our minds where they can control and destroy us.

2- The law of sin still operational in this fallen world produces decay and destruction, which Satan uses to his advantage to try and thwart us. It is important to note that this is a secondary weapon, and without his primary weapon (deception) this weapon would never work for Satan. He takes advantage of negative circumstances in order to deceive us, to make us doubt God and become discouraged or loose our temper. This can be beaten by the Word of God and the Holy Spirit. By walking in the power of the Word and the Spirit we can stand up to negative circumstances to endure and overcome them. Whether it means putting out the fire that rages against us, or walking right through it unharmed, God has the power to cause us to have victory. But we have to commit ourselves to Him and believe Him. And we have to hear and know His Word to adequatly do that. Christ has redeemed us from the law of sin.

Satan is so tricky to buy for.

He loves garden tools like hoe's and shovels...but the one thing he loves on Vday is a good pitch fork.

Of course this would be funny if it weren't true...which it isn't....there is no hell, there is no heaven....

When you die, the lights are off.

No more, no less. Now go....plant a tree...walk on a beach, and then marry one.
