How can you excuse anyone - especially an all-perfect god, for mass slaughter? Didn't he know some of his children would not agree with him - does that justify murdering millions of them with a flood?

No matter what mankind wrote in a Bible, God did not cause any flood. Earth changes occur. Because the Earth lives, as a plant does, as an animal does, and as a human does. God starts the spark of life, and welcomes it back . But it is the individual spark that chooses to cast a fire or not. And it is the things that are burnt by the fire, that chooses to blame or live.

Justice isn't always "right" to us. An eye for an eye. It is just, but not "right." It's not something that should happen, but it is just. Many people ask why there is so much pain and suffering in this world, if there is a God. This is not Heaven, if there were no pain, it would be Heaven. God does not cause sickness, or pain, or suffering. He allows it just as He allowed us to sin in the garden of Eden. Our free choice, which God gave us is the cause of this pain. In Romans 13, Paul says that all authority is appointed by God. Hitler was appointed by God, because God saw his excellent leadership skills, and skills to impact a lot of people. Hitler could have used this for great good, but the free choice we are given took this away. It's the cause of all suffering..yet we want more and more of it. Pro-choice, people want the choice to murder their innocent babies. Look around you.

He didn't murder anyone! God judged them and gave them their reward for their sinful ways. He gave them opportunity on top of opportunity to turn and they did not and would not, so He judged them with His righteous judgement. There were 8 people who believed God and worshipped Him, those He saved. He would have loved it if there were 8 million instead of just 8.

Judgement is sad news for those who are being judged. The flood is an example of the horror that can take you out when He judges you for your sins against Him.

Jack: God created humans - it is His prerogative to destroy them should He choose to ! God can and will make all the dead - alive - in a resurrection later, after His son, Jesus Christ returns to this earth. The GOOD NEWS ??? WE ALL WIN IN THE END !!! (See the Book of Revelation and read it from start to finish ! )

foolish child of God you have to understand Karma and Reincarnation to understand Gods all loving merciful nature. No one dies they just take another birth, life after life until they become tired of the illusory energy of the material world. Yes He knew we would misuse our free will and would suffer the results of our activities (karma) and eventually in one life or another we would call out for the process of how to get out of this miserable condition. And He will reveal But no one is really interested in surrendering so they choose their misery. (Love means free will and He will not touch that) We chose this life and we get our reactions. (hell is not eternal by the way. Do you want to be eternally happy in the real world then go to harekrishnatemple.c Read Bhagavad Gita as it is BY Bhaktivedanta Prabhupada- tells the purpose of human life.

What god are you referring to. My God can do anything He wants to correct the errors of man. He has given everyone a chance to do right yet man chooses not to. Thus they are punished. It happened then, it will happen in the future. Its called justice.

God doesn't make mistakes, he had a purpose for all those people, and their purpose was fulfilled. I'm not angry with you, you just said not everyone is going to agree with the way God does things, you are one of those people.

hahahahahahaha

you're digging so deep...and it's just not an intelligent question.

you can't take God and put Him on a human level for the sake of discussion. His very nature is too far removed from what we comprehend for us to discuss Him through anthropomorphisms that are not found in Scripture.

for a human to kill a human is murder, but if you want to argue based on the fact that there is a God, you must consider God's killing of human beings judgment, not murder. it is in the nature of God that He would be in control of judging His creation.

He made them they turned from him in doing so they show they chose their father as Satan. Satan is condemned and all who follow after him. You make the mistake that is common to all men , you believe you are of value in yourself. You are not you only have value if you serve the purpose you were created for.
