If the absence of a deity means one loses all morals and ethics, then that means atheists are evil, horrible people. But that's not the case. Everyone is raised with ethics and morals instilled in them based on their culture and, in a lot of cases, religion. There are still laws and morals that people follow that are either not founded in religious principles, or are loosely connected to them. We also all have consciences, which would prevent such things from happening.
Also, finding out that there is no God wouldn't easily erase the code of conduct that religious people are used to living by. So, no, it wouldn't be easy to lie, cheat, steal etc.

i'm an athiest and follow this code more desirable heavily than the individuals of the religion that I left in the back of. partly this replaced into why I left it in the back of. yet even the bible says there's a time and an area for each thing. Qucik your in germany in the 40s you've nazi's on the door and jews in the basement...what do you're saying? speedy your newborn desires nutrition and think ofyou've got no funds and no human being will feed your toddler...what do you do? What i'm attempting to assert is that morality is subjective to the time position subculture and challenge you eventually end up in. I follow my ethics because i have self assurance it really is sturdy to be sturdy to those round me. no longer because some mythical being informed me too. yet when circumsatnce dictated others desires then i'm keen to be versatile. Does that advise i'm condemned because i replaced into tryin to do the right ingredient on the right time? nicely then so be it.

I don't believe in religion but I want to live my life 'correctly'. When I don't want people cheat on me I should not cheat on people... etc
