I just switched him to whole milk and he doesnt lik it that much, so I can only get him to drink 2 8oz cups of milk a day. He also gets one serving of cheese or yogurt. Is that enough dairy?

Yes, we think so. My daughter is two and she does not drink that much. If you are worried try other forms of calcium too. The cheese and yogurt are great!

A one year old child is supposed to drink a minimum of 300 g of milk daily. That is the recommended daily allowance. Extra serving in the form of cheese and yogurt definitely will help to boost the growth, especially in bone formation and body building.

That is plenty. Just as long as you make sure he is getting all his other nutrional needs too. WIC told me that toddlers shouldn't be drinking more than 16-20 oz a day. My little one is 2 and she drinks like 5-6 7oz sippy cups a day, along with cheese and yogurt.

Sure, my doc said no more than 24 oz in a day , so you're fine. As long as they are eating well, some people just dont like milk. All he is a just a little person

You shouldn't go to milk from formula, should mix the two.
after about a month he should be drinking the milk by it's self.
