There's this really attractive cashier, and I kind of want to make a move, but I don't know how. Everytime I go to the store, we talk, and he asks me how my day is going, how my week is going. When I said that I was tired, he suggested I go get some caffeine. And when I was waiting in line the other day he looked at me and smiled. I can't tell if someone is interested or not, and I don't know how to go about asking if he's like to hang out sometime without making it akward.

Get to know him.

You do not mention your age. Or his.

He might just be a genuinely nice polite guy.

Next time he asks you these things, say something light and happy and throw him a smile.

Go in one day when there is no line up and ask him about something he sells in the store. See what happens.

But getting to know someone is the only way to go hon.

You have instinct. That is the little voice that whispers the truth to you as often as not. Listen to your instincts.

Maybe he is shy too.

He may be interested or he may just be an outgoing and friendly guy. Why don't you take a chance and ask him out. For example you could say "would you like to meet for coffee sometime if you're free?" I like that "If you're free" part because if the guy has a girlfriend, it gives him a chance to say so without too much awkwardness. Good luck.

well its kinda hard to tell, he might just be doing that to be good at his job. see if he is like that to the customers infront of you, if he makes small talk to them and stuff, and if he just does it to you or if he does it to you more then he prob. does like you.
