Liverpool`s new american owners are considering renaming the club.
they cant decide between the heysel 39ers or the hillsborough 96ers?

It's not funny - it refers to the 39 people killed when the fans ran riot at Heysel Stadium in Belgium and a wall collapsed, and the 96 Liverpool fans crushed to their painful deaths in the Hillsborough disaster. I'm not easily offended, incidentally, I'm just not into trivialising tragedy in what's not even a funny joke.

Very poor taste but also mildly amusing for people not involved in either tragedy. Everyone needs to lighten up, scousers are the best in the world at seeing the funny side of even the most tragic events so lighten up.
