There are alot of worst fights and I dont remeber who was in them because they were bad, I rememeber Scott Smith vs Patrick Cote from UFC 67 was really bad and Tim Sylvia vs Jeff Monson and Tim Sylvia vs Andrea Arloyski II were both crappy boring fights.

As far as best, Im gonna go old school on you and say either Randy Couture vs Vitor Belfort I, or Vitor Belfort vs Tank Abbott, or Vitor vs Wanderlie, shoot any of the fights in that era Randy or Vitor were awesome fights.

My favorite fight is Forrest Griffin vs. Stephan Bonner, from the Ultimate Fighter Season 1 Finale. I know the purists will stick their noses up at my nomination, because it was a sloppy brawl, but in terms of action and drama, it doesn't get any better.

If you are more of an MMA/grappling connoisseur, Karo Parisyan vs. Diego Sanchez is a very good one.

Oh, I almost forgot: Matt Hughes vs. Frank Trigg II is incredible. It is from one of the UFCs from 2005, like UFC 52 or something, check it out on the UFC website or some other mma website.

The worst fight? Man, I don't know. Never really cared to think about it. The worst fights are generally so bad and boring that you forget them.

I will say this though...one of the worst fights that were hyped up and turned out to suck royally? Tim Sylvia vs. Andrei Arlovski III, the rubber match. Man did that fight stink.

I vote for some of the very first UFC 1,2, and 3 fights where the referee (before Big John M. came in) became pretty bad when yoiu can see fighters tapping and the dumb referee doesn't know what to do or was in such a bad position the guy tapping kept getting clobbered since the ref. couldn't see. I wonder who that ref. was and if he was even a full-time referee.

The worst fight I ever seen was, Ken Shamrock against Mark Coleman. There was maybe 3 punches thrown in the whole fight, they just stood there the whole time walking around each other. The best had to be, Kimo against R. Gracie.. I thought 1 of them was not going to make it out of the ring. Thank you

My own personal opinion...

Worst fight: Heath Herring vs. Jake O'Brien, Herring was so heavily favored and was supposed to be the beginning of revitalizing the heavyweight division and when he lost it was almost like DAAAAAAMN!, where the f*ck did they find this guy? For the record though, Herring hadn't fought in over 6 months when he fought in the UFC at Fight Night 8 so he had a LOT of ring rust and plus he went into that fight injured from being inactive and going back to training for that fight! Herring will be back stronger than ever, I hope.

Best fight: Randy Couture vs. Tito Ortiz, no one & I mean no one even gave Randy a shot at winning the belt from Tito including myself! When Randy sqeaked at a unaminous decision after going 5 rounds with a much younger & stronger guy and at one point had him in a crusifex and was wailing on his face for like a full minute straight, damn you just knew Tito got owned that night by the "old man" he was supposed to beat that night! That loss in my opinion helped Tito become the fighter he is today!

Guess no one have seen Ken Shamrock vs Dan Severn. They spend most fight circling eachother and brushing off inferior strikes attempt then they end up spend most of the time laying on ground hugging eachother passionately. This was so bad that it turn so many of my friends away from MMA for long time.

I'd have to agree with the Jake O' Brien and Heath Harring fight being one of the worst. Fights with former wrestlers (with bad ground and pound and/or bad submissions) are usually boring. Its the lay and pray techinque. No finishing, just take down followed with holding them down with no real attempt to finish the fight. They just look for the decision. Like Josh Koshcheck, not much of a striker, but he has great takedowns and dominates position on the ground but no real ground game to finish a fight.

The last two fights between tito ortiz and ken shamrock were pretty bad. It was like there was no competition. The best fights of all time have to be any fights that Royce Gracie fought in. The two fights between him and Shamrock were pretty spectacular.

I just saw the best fight couple months ago. forgot who the fighters were, but 2 guys was taking it pretty hard and this one guy was completely obviously dominating. Then suddenly, it was like he was falling asleep and he was just leaning on his heavily beaten opponent. Almost for no reason, he lost the fight cause he was too tired.
