I wouldn't. There are lotions that are specifically for hair, Garnier Fructis has hair cremes that work beautifully. Maybe adding vitamin e to your regular rinse out conditioner would help, or a hot oil treatment.

Try some different dandruff shampoos until you find one that works well for you. I have been trying something that seems to helps my dry skin and scalp. It is a food product called coconut oil-the kind you eat- but at a cooler temperature it stays solid. It cost from around 14.00-to 20.00 or more depending on size and where you buy it. If you hate coconut then you will not like it but if you like coconut then you will love it I just take out some and put it on whole wheat bread. Also good to eat with a banana. sandwich. If you don't want to try this then try some other naturals oils but for me this is the best. When you put what you need into your body then this helps keeps your skin healthy. Believe me i have tried everything.

See a dermatologist to find out what you have. I thought I had large dandruff flakes, but turns out I have Seborrhea. That means my nerves make whatever holds my skin on, it doesn't hold it. So my scalp peels in huge flakes, and I can grab a piece, pull it out, and you can see all the holes where my hair was!
I use Nizoral shampoo, and it works great. So find out what you have before you use something with the wrong Ph., which could damage your scalp and hair.

Unless you're bald, I wouldn't. It would just make the roots of your hair greasy. If it's flaky-dry, use Head & Shoulders shampoo, if it's just dry then wash your hair less often (natural hair oils). But I'm not an expert...

hmmm.....Hair and skin have the same pH, so what should be good for your skin should be good for your hair. In theory!
