I have brownish/purple scars all over my legs. The are on the suface, just discolored. How do i fade them FAST. I have tried mederma and scarzone and over the counter microdermabrasion. Nothing seems to do it. I want them to fade by the summer!

Please suggest ways that are FAST and not too expensive

Keep up the exfoliation, and moisturize with something like nivea every day. Stay out of the sun and tanning beds. Active vitamin C keeps melanocytes from stcking together, which is what makes the dark spots, so increase your C intake. Prenatal vitamins will also make a good addition to your regime, as their ingredients facilitate cellular growth.

Lemons (you could mix it with some Baking Soda to make a paste as well) The acidity of the lemon helps in fading scars and dark spots. If used consistently it could probably start working in two weeks. I'm not too sure of the timing because of different skin types and all, but you do have to be consistent with it. I don't know of any products that fade scars instantly. Sorry! And trust me, I wish there was such a wonder product :(

If you have darker skin like me, then when you get a scar, the pigment can sometimes "tatto" a slightly darker or lighter spot onto your skin. They can fade with time, but wear sun protection, since the sun is what causes the discoloration to occur.

If you did not have a burn or a surgery, then your case is a little different. Sometimes scars show on our body when we do not have enough circulation of blood. Start running or ride a bike just to see if you will improve. When you run or ride a bike you get a better circulation to your legs and with better circulation you get more oxygen and with more oxygen and circulation your skin will start to naturally get rid of the scars.

Cocoa butter is the best AND the cheapest. Get a Cocoa butter stick and rub it in as often as possible. They will never go away without surgery, however, only improve in appearence.
