As a pizza delivery guy part time for the past 8 years I would suggest $1 an item. If you get 3 Pizzas $3 is appropriate. Never less than $1 even though I think $1 tips suck sometimes. Double the tip for bad weather such as rain or snow. We are putting our vehicles and lives at risk during blizzards. I can't tell you how many times I've been stiffed standing all wet in the rain or icicles hanging from my nose! lol!. Different parts of the country may have different standards though. Another safe bet is the standard tip practice of %20. Just consider that we pay for our gas and wear and tear on our car. Different companies reimburse employees differently with regard to this. In my route we know who tips better and fight for those orders and get them there first. If you consistently stiff the driver or give low tips you will get your order last on any given route. ( hate to admit to that, but the service industry goes both ways treat us well and you get treated well cross us and usually you don't get the service you expect similar to a customer you expect good service and reward it and do not reward bad service.)

After seeing everyone saying they tip $5 at least I need to know where they live! Rarely do I get much over $2-3 unless it's a large order. Those kind of tips would be great! (I live in Colorado)

Depends on how much I order. Is the guy a prick? An I a normal customer? Ok so lets say I have a party and we order about 6-8 pizzas and each pizza is roughly 10.00 I would tip the pizza guy about 25%ish assuming he is not a prick. If he were the "regular" pizza guy and lets say I order they constantly I may tip more. Tips make peoples' day, why not do it? I mean they have to use their own car and everything right?

Ok well first you have to think about wha they are actually doing for you, such as how far are they driving, what do they have to drive in, how nice are they, how long did it take them to get there, and such but do remember, they are prolly driving there own vehicle to some random strangers house that half the time has scary dogs and such and lots of time they have to do this in the night time. I recommend at least 4 dollars every time, and then if you order more than 25 dollars worthof food then i would say go with about 25% tip

15 - 20% of the total order...just like if you were to eat out at a restaurant and leave a tip for the service you received

depends on the size of the order, if its a pizza that costs 20 bucks anything over 4 bucks would be nice... just go by percentages, always tip around 25%

Add the taxes (PST and GST) of your total and divide by half, usually never over $10, usually between $5 and $8.
