it means "and the following verses" - "f" for "following", "ff" makes it plural.

What translation? What verse? That is not a "standard" in all Bibles. It appears to be a code used for the references or notes added to the version. It would assume it is referring you to a footnote or to a translator's code. Check the introduction to the translation. It should explain what the notes like that mean.

It's a translation from the original Hebrew- there's a letter like f that was there kind of to signify the end of a topic or segment
