well what you could do is get a blood glucose monitor and record your levels when you feel this way. if they are normal then its anxiety. if not tell your doctor what you have recorded.
in the mean time you may want to take more xanax your dose is very small . you could take 1 more now and in one hour take one more if your still not feeling better . if this solves the problem be sure to tell the doctor about that as well .

Well, it's hard to say not being a Dr. I believe endocrinologists deal with glucose levels. If you are hypoglycemic you feel weak- you need sugar, see if that makes a difference and like you said don't go too long without eating, keep snacks around. You could be low in iron- I say this because when I feel weak this is the reason. Take a multivitamin every day. Hey, how about that t.v. show- Dateline or one of those- they show medical mysteries that weren't diagnosed correctly for a long time. Maybe you could get help thru them. I think it's on ABC.

first of all you need to find a new doctor. if your having hypoglycemic episodes and not being treated you could die from one of those. when your blood sugar gets too low you go into an altered state of consciousness where you don't know what your doing, thus you wouldn't know you needed medical help and wouldn't seek treatment and your blood sugar would continue to drop and you'd go into a coma and if you weren't found and rushed to a hospital you'd die. just like that. you probably have diabetes. do you have a device to monitor your blood sugar at home? your symptoms sound like the effects of low blood sugar rather than anxiety. I take Xanax to but I take Xanax XR and use it twice a day everyday.

With a glucose of 50, I'd say it was hypoglycemicia. Have your doctor check you for diabetes. If he/she won't do it, go to another doctor. Or any clinic that can check your glucose level after at least 8 hour fast. Anxiety and hypoglycemia might have similar symptoms, but are very different problems. Treating one like the other could have serious consequences.

It's probabay a combination of things- hormonal imbalance, insulin imbalance, low blood sugar and drugs. The foods you ate (noodles, beans, juice, sugar) would cause another spike in blood sugar.
Stop taking all these drugs and see an endocrinologist about your hormones.
Anti-depressants destroy the thyroid.

When you are feeling this way I would only take in the food that you are taking in and see if that helps you. If it does then it's probably your sugar getting too low. I would also check your sugar when you feel this way. see if it is low. But by taking in food and taking your medicine at the same time it's going to be hard to determine which is helping you.

Diabetes....why are you on xanax and why do you just adjust your own dosage on a whim, follow your md's orders.
