The fact that you are asking this question leads me to believe you may think you have a problem. Eating helathy and in the right proportions is excellent at any age. I think you already know that. If you are already under your ideal weight (you can check that out here http://www.halls.md/ideal-weight/met.htm) and you are overly restricting your calories you may have to look at that. It sounds like you are wise as to what you should be eating.
Tip offs to a problem would be body image distortion (looking in the mirror and seeing a fat girl, even though you are in the right weight range), excessive exercising (more than 1 hr per day), hoarding food, binging, purging or starving.
I wish you luck and hope if that indeed you do have a problem that this is your first step in getting some help for yourself. My sister was a bulemic and at age 29 she now has irreversible heart damage.

She is the adult. You're definitely going by means of plenty of hormonal changes at 17. Every man at your age has had a crush on his associates mother, or instructor, or neighbour. I would not even worry about it. You are a young man in heat and its her job to grasp that. And its now not bad at all. She regularly likes it. Its more often than not flattering to her. I had a big factor for one among my lecturers in high institution. I was obsessed. We would flirt, however i would in no way let it progress previous that. Do not even fear, its common.

not at all, it's actually very smart. counting calories is the only way to ever truly learn about the nutritional content of various food items.
I started counting calories my freshman year in college when I was 17. after a couple of months you will be able to look at a plate of food and be able to determine roughly the caloric content and how much protein, carbs and fats are there. more people should take the time to learn as you are.
knowledge is power...

I personally believe it is. You're in the same situation as my friend, who measure's everything including the amount of peanut butter he is going to use.
However I think it is ok to measure in the initial stages just to get an idea of what the portions are like, but once you are familiar with it, you should stop weighing the portions and just estimate. The reason I say this is because even if you measure it precisely, it still isn't perfect. There are many factors that effect it, and plus your activity levels may vary everyday, the weather, etc...., and so nothing can be perfect.

It's at least a bit obsessive. I'd be more concerned about that. Please talk to your doctor, and as quickly as possible. You are headed for all kinds of problems that are far beyond your own ability to cope.
