I am in the play Cinderella as Cinderella in 2 days. I went to disneyland 3 days ago and my throat is still very hoarse from screaming and it is hard for me to sing. I really need fast throat relief! A little help? :)

Lemon Honey Tea! Or make your own by adding two tablespoons of honey to one cup of water and soak a lemon wedge in there. Don't talk much for the next few days, and whispering just hurts your throat even more!

Good luck!

What can I do to prevent and treat mild hoarseness?
If you smoke, quit
Avoid agents which dehydrate the body, such as alcohol and caffeine
Avoid secondhand smoke
Drink plenty of water
Humidify your home
Watch your diet - avoid spicy foods and alcohol
Try not to use your voice too long or too loudly
Seek professional voice training
Avoid speaking or singing when your voice is injured or hoarse (this is similar to not walking on a sprained ankle)

Lemon juice (real) This is what most singers have in their water glasses on stage. They squeeze fresh lemons in water. Lemon tends to relax the tendons you use to talk (and sing) with.

try gargling with warm salty water or mouthwash. This can reduce the pain and inconvenience. You can find some good home remedies at http://ailments.in/sorethroat.html
