next month mar. i have to parctice to be in the schools prom fashion show and im very nervous just thinking about. how do i get over this.

i perform on the stage and i used to get stage freight, just keep practicing so you don't mess it up, you will be nervous on the night and your likely your hand will shake, this still happens to me, laugh it off and really enjoy what you will be doing because when you get off the stage you will want to do it again

Firstly, it's stagefright. freight is cargo. Secondly, if you know your stuff inside out you will lose the fear. Practice until you are looking forward to the event rather than fearing it. I've been singing to tourists tonight and I still get the fear but the thing that separates the good from the exceptional is confidence, even if the confidence is an act. You will be a star. Don't forget this....

It is normal to be scarred off performing in front off a crowd, but if you let that fear take over you. that can be bad.

Try to use your fear to push you on, and make yourself stand there tall, one thing I can promise you is you are the only person who knows how scarred you are, fear does not show on the face, so only tell your close trusted freinds & family, and practice so that you know your part off by heart.

I wish you all the best off luck, and I am sure afterwards you will look back and laugh and how it made you feel and you will be a better person for overcoming your fear.

I know this cool psychological trick you can do on your mind to forget, literally, about the fear.
1) close your eyes
2) envision the worst case scenario
3) mentally change the scene to black and white
4) mentally make it disappear, letting it fade into the background
5) open your eyes

and your fear will be gone!

also, what you don't realize you were doing during this little activity was that you were practicing deep breathing as well!!

Tough. I was on radio tonight and I felt very nervous. When we have to 'perform' imagine you are about to die and give it all you have. Also, remember everyone there is just as human as you. Good luck - -and strike them dead!
