Try some milk before bedtime... if you are up for it, try putting her in her car seat and take her for a ride... I used to do that to my son when he was a toddler if he couldn't sleep... and it always put him out like a light !!!

We have a three year old that we just moved into her own room about 6 months ago. Since moving her into her own bed she only wants her dad to put her to bed, which is fine with me, I nursed her until she was 2 and 1/2 I figure it is his turn. Anyway, he usually sits and rubs her back for about ten or fifteen minutes until she is almost asleep and then quietly leaves the room. We don't hear a peep from her again until the next morning. I am not a believer in letting them cry it out, and this works for us. We certainly aren't up until all hours of the night.

I find that a rule of thumb is giving a week for breaking habits (almost any kind) for children. You have to fight the urge to go in her room for a week, let her cry it out. I know it will be so difficult not to come to her when she calls. Tell her prior to bed time that its time for her to be a big girl and sleep at night like all the other big girls do. You may want to get her a "special" bear or doll that is just for bed. You should have a bedtime routine with her- religiously read her a book and do something that is special to her. Say good night- and don't come back in unless she is sick or something. She will soon learn that you wont come in at night and there is no sense in crying. She will have a new habit- sleeping right through.

I have a 2 year old...... Put her to sleep after you do you night ritual what ever that is and tell her its time for bed. Put her in her room and dont say any thing to her, dont go in her room or anything. Let her Cry. If it makes you feel better you can invest in a nanny cam to make sure she isn't hurting herself. She get the hint and go to sleep. Be persistent and eventually the crying and restlessness will stop. also during the day dont let her take naps and tell her if you went to sleep at night you wouldn't be so tired during the day. Hope it helps it worked for me you just cannot give in........ Let her know your word is law

Hello,
I had this problem with my 4 year old, but I changed her schedule.
I changed her bath time to night followed with body message. She just loves her feet rubbed. Try this out- 1 to 2 hours before bed unwind her . LOL
Meaning reading with lights low, soft music.
Just maybe lay with her while reading, ensuring mom or dad is here all is fine.
See how that works.
Good luck
