I once asked why and they say that sex should be used to procreate so anal sex doesnt allow for that therefore it's bad. Is it because one you may have a chance of conception (~0) but in the other one it's a definite zero? Could you just switch at the moment of truth to comply?

I don't believe that it is forbidden by any of the major, mainstream denominations of the Christian faith. Maybe a few of the holy roller types concern themselves with that sort of intrusive question but it isn't a normal worry. If anal is something that you both enjoy then why worry what others think or if your instep with some religious dogma? Life is short and difficult enough without looking for trouble. Anal sex isn't anything to feel guilty about. So long as you both like it then you should have some fun and enjoy yourselves.

Your anal cavity isn't equipped for that and it can cause problems in the long term. Your anal cavity is made for things to exit it not enter.
However, the male and female reproductive organs complement each other and are designed in a way that there should be no damage.
